I’m David Wray and I’ve been a guitarist for most of my life and a tutor for over 20 years. I am currently a touring musician and perform on tours across the world, in theatres, arenas, music venues and cruise ships.
As a professional, I am constantly applying the skills and techniques that I teach to my students so you can be assured that you will learn a streamlined real-world method of playing. Many guitar teachers can provide you with pots of information but few are consistently working in a pressured environment where diversity and adaptability of their skill are required to get paid!
In Worthing, West Sussex I have a room dedicated solely to music (and the occasional pile of washing!). There is plenty of free parking outside on a quiet, easy to find cul-de-sac.
I also teach live online lessons, which means even when I am away on a tour, I can still maintain your learning and ensure you keep the fingers moving in the right direction!
I teach ELECTRIC, ACOUSTIC and FINGERSTYLE guitar lessons from beginner level right up to advanced, in a variety of styles.
Lesson are £28 for an hour. You can do a half hour lesson for £15 to get started, although I wouldn’t recommend this as a long term approach as it is over before you’ve really progressed any further.
Most importantly, the music you will learn on guitar is the music YOU want to learn, no stiff rules apply here!

I’ve had lessons from Dave for years now. Always patient with my lack of initial skill! I started a complete beginner with him and now play in a band which is great! Still got loads to learn but Dave makes it real easy and teaches me exactly what I want to know! Love his sense of humour and he’s a top bloke…. and a brilliant guitarist!
